History of Red Shoe Day I.V.

The Ronald McDonald House Charities® of San Diego is excited to announce our 5th Annual Red Shoe Day benefiting all Imperial Valley families who have stayed at the Ronald McDonald House. This signature fundraiser will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 and is a uniquely visible way to keep all Imperial Valley families together, happy, and strong throughout their child’s recovery.

From 7:00am to 10:00am on Wednesday, October 7, 2015, more than 200 volunteers can be found at key intersections across the Imperial Valley, where awareness is being built, and donations are collected for the Ronald McDonald House Charities® of San Diego in our signature size 14 Ronald McDonald Red Shoes.

Ronald McDonald House of San Diego

Ronald McDonald House Charities® of San Diego provides a “home away from home” for families with children being treated for serious, often life-threatening conditions at local hospitals.

Last year alone, the Ronald McDonald House Charities® of San Diego provided care to 563 family members (25% of our annual families) from the Imperial Valley who received a total of 7,124 nights of lodging and with your generous support, we can further propel our mission of providing housing and day-to-day necessities to your neighbors who need your support.

Our vision is to provide a welcoming and convenient home base where families can take care of their basic needs so they can better focus on what really matters: caring for their critically ill or injured children.
